Harmony ~ Illumination ~ Unlimited Potential
The "Lotus" represents the intention that is instilled in my coaching services, and it is a powerful and ancient image symbolising harmony, illumination and unlimited potential.
Borne in the murkiest of ponds, the lotus still emerges pure. The lotus is a reminder that "this, too, shall pass".
The lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth.
The Buddha is sometimes depicted sitting on a lotus flower, symbolising the one who overcame the pain of that which prevails in the material world and became enlightened.
In ancient Egypt the lotus was one of the most revered flowers and symbols. It represented daily rebirth and rejuvenation because it closed at night and reopened in the morning to reveal a central yellow circle with radiating petals like the rising sun. The seed of the lotus flower contains perfectly formed leaves as miniatures of what they will become when the lotus blooms.
The lotus reminds us that our challenges are fertiliser for awakening our brilliance, creativity, and potential if we choose to work with them.
