In our 21st Century world, it is all too easy to get caught in the endless whirlwind of things calling for our attention. When I get caught in this I find myself rushing from one thing to another, trying to balance and juggle all the demands of work, family life and the myriad of other responsibilities I need to attend to. If I am not careful all of my attention and energy can get caught in this whirlwind and I have found myself in the past in a place where I didn’t have practices in place to support me to show up fully and make the most of every day.
The quickest way I know to keep it all together regardless of the amount of chaos I find myself dealing with is grounding. By practising this simple meditation every morning, I find that I can tap an inner reserve of strength, focus and vitality.
Grounding is not something that many of us have been taught and yet it is a powerful practice that provides us with the ability to slow down, tune in and connect with ourselves.

I use this practice in a myriad of ways: as my morning meditation; I will practice it whilst I am stopped at the traffic lights; in the lift on the way to a meeting; as I’m about to start a challenging conversation or deal with an array of other things that I need to attend to or deal with.
Grounding is one of my favourite practices because it enables me to:
Here’s the grounding meditation practice I use, it’s my gift to help you put this powerful practice in place today.
