In our fast paced world, it is all too easy to get caught in the whirlwind and the rushing and not put in place practices to support yourselves to move forward, and to make the changes you want. Deep down we all know that real change takes time and that we need practices that enable us to stay on the path and true to our objective.
Here are three proven practices, some of my favourites, to support you to make the changes in your life that you have longed for and yet have struggled to put in place.
1. Creating space in your life for awareness.
All to often we spend most of our time reacting to people or circumstances rather than taking the time to thoughtfully respond. The fact is you can’t change things that you don’t notice. Often the first step to making powerful changes in your life is creating enough space in your life for awareness to arise. With greater awareness you will become conscious of the real choices you have and how you are really functioning in relation to these choices. When you have this level of awareness you can make wiser choices without sacrificing your wellbeing or dreams.
2. Setting intentions for the changes you want.
Most of us just jump right in when it comes to making the changes without taking the time to get really clear about our intentions.
When you don’t’ take the time to set your intentions you fail to connect with and align with what it is you really want to create. Without that awareness it’s all too easy to put a lot of effort into things that are not 100% aligned and so the results can be a bit random. Taking the time to set your intentions is a highly effective tool for focussing your energy on what you would like to experience and the specific outcomes you wish for yourself.
3. Grounding yourself
Grounding is not something that many of us have learnt to do and yet it is a really powerful practice that provides us with the ability to slow down, tune in and connect with ourselves. When we are not grounded our thinking and our energy can be scattered, we can have difficulty focusing and lose track of what it is that we are saying or doing, we can feel nervous and overstimulated and lack energy, vitality and zest.
In our fast paced world many of us skip this vital step and as a result we miss out on being able to really tap into many of our innate abilities and vitality and we can struggle to make the changes we want.
Here is a gift to help you to put this powerful practice in place.
